L’il Billy and Hungry Ghosts

See

Not so long ago, there was a story of a spiteful meeting of a boy and a bunch of unholy creatures. I’m not making this up, the story I’m about to share with you today is true and not even an iota has been changed, I’m presenting it to you just the way it is.

Billy grew up like any other normal kids, pretty much like you and me, with one little exception though, because according to Billy, as a small boy growing up, he had an extra special-highly imaginative wonderful mind. Well, time passed by and little Billy is not so little anymore (still young-certainly not small, but a kid still). This stage of life, as any of us would have known, is a crucial one because it is at this point that we’re going to decide what kind of men we’re going to become.

And it is here, at this important junction, that our story took place. L’il Billy was mostly minding his own business at this time, when suddenly he was approached by someone – apparently a lady. She has all the normal characteristics of a somewhat old, slightly overweight and not so good looking lady, but if you look closely at the way she smirks (she never smile, she smirks), you’d know there’s something VERY WRONG about her. But our Billy, being young and all, couldn’t see this. Words started flowing out of her mouth, saccharine sweet but with a little tinge of bitterness due to her hideous nature, albeit not apparent at the moment.

Drawn in by her mesmerizing false words, Billy moved closer and closer towards her. She has no heart, but seeing Billy being gullible made something inside her to jump and be filled with joy till she feels all giddy. Soon enough, just as she intended, Billy was lying against her stomach somewhat in a trance. Seeing that she has no need of her human outlook, she threw her human form away revealing her real horrible self. Black as death, reeking with the smell of decay, wide mouth contorted into a grin that looks more like rigor mortis setting in, red flaming eyes, long clumpy dirty hair flowing down her head, a body like an old tree trunk covered in warts, short stumpy legs with uneven long bony arms stretching out.

This damned creature then brought her arms slowly around Billy in an embrace. Her crooked stained teeth parted slightly and a long slimy red tongue slipped through, darting pretty much the way a snake’s tongue would. The tongue was so long that it looks more like another ugly creature on its own. With this appendage she started licking Billy’s head and sad to say, all the colors, all the vibe, and all the rich warm caramel good feelings in Billy began to diminish. Oh she liked it, she liked it a lot! The licking continued fervently, and Billy’s eyes became less vivid with every licking, like a delicate painting being blotted out at faster and faster rate.

By now, our story has come closer to its end. Naturally, I’m quite sure, some of you might be wondering why would the title of this story be “L’il Billy and Hungry Ghosts” when there’s only one involved. Well, it is precisely because there are more than one of these creatures that our story be named so. You see, once this unholy being in our story began savoring little Billy, others of her kind started emerging, four….. or maybe five of them altogether..

And they started feasting on poor Billy.

Author’s note: I used the word ‘ghost’ simply because of the lack of a better word. A ghost is not real; but bear in mind that the creatures described above are, by all means, as real as both you and me.
