Common Chimpanzees & Bonobos
Thursday, May 24th, 2007We all know/have seen/ or at least heard of the chimpanzees. However, there’s another species of ape that we don’t usually know about. They are the bonobos, discovered in the year 1928 and only recently recognized as a distinct species.
The scientific name of the chimp is Pan troglodytes, while the scientific name of the bonobo is Pan paniscus.
But their names don’t matter much to me, it’s their physical characteristics that made them unique, that and how their society works too.
