Black Holes & Worm Holes

Wednesday, June 20th, 2007

The word ‘idiot’ surely makes sense. Let’s examine its etymology before we proceed. The word ‘idiot’ came from the latin word ‘idiota’ which means private person or layman but as time moved on it has acquired a different meaning.

Although, the word idiot is not at all complicated, I’m not taking any chances. There’s a much simpler word that we can employ to describe an idiot, that word is "@$$hole".

Now. I’ve met my share of @$$holes. They come in many different forms, fat, thin, tall, short, male and female. Still, when you meet one, you can tell - and this is easy, it doesn’t require the slightest effort from your intellectual faculty - and you will know that he or she is actually an @$$hole.

A large number of @$$holes whom I’ve had the… pleasure of interacting with are from the security business. Yes, they are security personnels or in our Malaysian tongue ‘Pak Guard’. Not all of them, but a LOT of them certainly are @$$holes, they lack good manners, respect for others and common sense. But then again, I wouldn’t expect too much from this lot. Afterall, they ARE @$$holes.

The second group, though I can’t precisely confirm this as I’ve met only three to four of these, are silly people who have had some training or education in the field of theology. These @$$holes seem to think that they have been conferred with power and jurisdiction by God himself/Gods themselves. Hah! All I can say is "Wake up! Studying theology or being a theologian doesn’t make you any holier than some punk ass drug addict whose ruining his life in some street somewhere". Morally upright than drug addicts maybe (though that’s not the case usually) but definitely not holier.

Finally, unwilling to invest more time and energy than I should in classifying these @$$holes, I have grouped the rest of them as general @$$holes. These  @$$holes can be divided into two major groups. The first being the ones you don’t know. But still, you can recognize them anywhere you go, they have no respect for other people, no civility, no compassion and all these traits are apparent from the way they talk to their subordinates or anyone they consider to be below them, the way they drive, etc. The last group being the ones you know. Fellow friends (or at least people whom you thought are friends initially) and acquaintances who are, sadly and unfortunately F**KING @$$HOLES!
